So, What Should You Do?

I don’t think there’s one ‘right’ answer for every project. But my experience suggests a clear framework:

  • Choose the configured option (A) when: The system is complex, involves controllers (temp, flow, pressure), or is for a critical application. Time is money. A predictable schedule is worth a small premium.
  • Choose the standard option (B) when: The application is simple, single-loop, and you have in-house expertise to configure it. The cost savings on a non-critical, simple job can be justified.

Personally, I’ve switched to a default of Option A. It took me a few expensive mistakes to get there. The satisfaction of a project that runs smoothly, with no last-minute emergency calls about a wrong Danfoss temp controller or a undersized Danfoss hydrostatic pump, is worth the extra planning time.
